I would consider myself an LED HDTV aficionado. I have bought and sold hundreds of led TV's over the last four years and have researched and studied hundreds more online. This technology has improved to the point where the images mirror real life. Now onto the review of this marvel of technology. Vizio was considered a third tier brand when they first came on the scene but have stepped up their game considerably with this installment. One of the aspects of TV viewing has been black levels. According to several testers the black levels on this model is almost perfect except from a side angle. Most of us watch TV directly so no real impact. The colors are bright because it is LED and it is thin with a minimalist approach. The frame on this TV is metallic and visually high tech. The color settings and options are very good and compare very well with high end Samsung TV's. The real down side to this series is the 55" has an IPS panel where as the rest of them in the series are VA panels. The black levels are not as good on the 55" as the other sizes due to the type of panel installed. The up-scaling from lower resolutions is not good especially from side angles.
